Workshop for Vision Centre AOPs and Field Workers
Aravind-Salem was one of the participants of LAICO's collaborative to strengthen community participation in referring patients to an eye hospital. To share the lessons learnt from this collaborative, Aravind-Salem arranged a half-day workshop on November 21 for the staff of its vision centres and field workers who work closely with rural communities. About 15 staff members took part.

New Vision Centre
Aravind-Salem opened vision centres at Sendhamangalam on November 18 and Pochampalli on March 31. The centres are sponsored by Aravind Eye Foundation and SEVA - Standard Chartered Bank under (SiB) Seeing is Believing project.
A remarkable achievement
Aravind-Salem performed 200 cataract surgeries a day in December 2021, the highest ever performance so far in the history of the hospital
